Understanding status codes
We use the same status codes for all API methods and data providers so it’s easy to understand what is going on when viewing the Audit Log. You can see a full list of all the status codes we use below.

Working with a 206 response:
A 206 Partial Content response often provides additional information to help manage your query and even help you achieve a successful response.
An example of this is when Experian endpoints return a VOID VRM message with a 206 status response. This indicates the registration mark was previously associated with a vehicle, but is not currently in use. This scenario typically occurs as the result of a cherished plate change, in which case the registration mark currently associated with the vehicle will be included in the response (see below). If the request is re-sent with this registration mark it should return results, including the VIN which enables you to verify it is the correct vehicle.
