Postman is a great way to review live responses before you step further into the development process.
API keys are required to make both live and sandbox calls.
It only takes a few moments to create an API key and by generating multiple keys you can manage usage and costs across your projects through the Audit Log.
API keys can be disabled via the API Keys page. By disabling a key you can bring a project to a close and remove access.
Audit Log provides details all your API calls and their response status – providing a vital resource for investigating issues and supporting your integration. Filter by method, API key or data provider and use the export function to download selections of data for further analysis.
We use the same status codes for all API methods and data providers so it’s easy to understand what is going on when viewing the Audit Log.
Utilisation provides you with a summary of chargeable calls over any time period.
Configuring API keys to restrict access to specific API methods increases your data security and gives you control over which resources are available for individual projects. Use this feature in conjunction with throttling and quotas for maximum control.
By restricting API keys to specific IP addresses, you can bolster your API security. Implementing this measure gives you tighter control over who can request data using each specific API Key, enabling you to lock down access to specific applications.
Gain greater control and improve your data security by setting rate limits, burst rates and quotas against individual API keys. Setting precise limits allows you to avoid unnecessary expense when the unexpected happens.
